About Us
TouchPoint is a community-led wellbeing initiative and our purpose is to have positive social impact.

Our purpose
We’re a local charity dedicated to building community connections and creating a strong sense of belonging. Through safe, welcoming spaces, we support over 2,000 people each week—thanks to 170 incredible volunteers and a small team of part-time staff.
Working with local partners, we identify hidden needs, break down barriers, and provide vital support to those who need it most. Our inclusive approach means everyone is treated equally and made to feel valued, heard, and at home.
We're working to address issues around social isolation, mental and physical health and wellbeing, food waste and food education, digital exclusion, employability and economic recovery, as well as financial stress and debt management.
How to find us
Our Community Hub is at Crafton Green House, 72 Chapel Hill, Stansted Mountfitchet, CM24 8AQ, but our projects take place across the local area.

Our Trustees
Paul, Chair
For most of my career I led a business focussed around employment, team building and mentoring. I have also been an active volunteer and trustee in the charitable sector supporting those who are dealing with issues such as unemployment, homelessness and hardship.
Having lived in Stansted for over 20 years I’m a big believer in the strength of our community spirit. I see TouchPoint as a great opportunity to keep improving our shared experiences as a community and the support we offer each other.
Steph, COO
I spent a considerable part of my career living and working in the Greater Horn of Africa. I was involved with managing short-term emergency humanitarian interventions as well as long-term community development work.
I returned to the UK and was kept busy with my family and worked locally. For several years I volunteered with Citizen Advice, and I became the Coordinator for Uttlesford Foodbank in early 2020. I joined TouchPoint in November 2022, helpling to coordinate projects, before becoming Operational Director in late 2024.
Elissa, Trustee
I am excited to be a part of TouchPoint as I grew up in Stansted and love the community that surrounded me. For me, TouchPoint is a great opportunity to give back to this community and help support it. I look forward to continuing to be a part of TouchPoint’s journey and experiencing the love and positivity of our community.
Fiona, Trustee
I have lived in Stansted for the last eight years and feel very fortunate to be bringing my children up in such a beautiful and vibrant village. Most of my career has been spent working in the Charity sector running local services and working with volunteers so I am excited to be working with Touchpoint to help further support the local community. Touchpoint has had such a positive impact on Stansted and the surrounding community in so many ways, it is a privilege to be a part of that.
Shirley, Trustee
I have lived in Stansted for nearly 30 years and think it is a great community with lots to offer. My background is in pensions and compliance but now I am winding down on the work front, I am very excited to be a part of Touchpoint. I think Touchpoint will bring a positive offering of support in these difficult times and in the future.
Keith, Trustee
I have spent most of my working life in large accountancy firms, and now run my own specialised tax consulting business.
I’m very pleased to be part of TouchPoint to provide commercial and strategic experience, in particular because I’ve often seen how relatively small changes can make big differences – in this case developing and connecting facilities and services with people who can derive great value from them. We’ve lived and brought up our family in Stansted for some 25 years and believe implicitly that strong communities are good for everyone. That, at heart, is what TouchPoint is designed to achieve.
Our aims
We listen to our community to help us better understand and respond to local needs—like social isolation, mental health challenges, physical wellbeing, food insecurity, and financial stress. Our goal is to strengthen community connections and build long-term resilience.
We support and energise local communities through our range of physical and mental wellbeing related projects. Some of these include our welcoming Community Hub, FoodShares, and free exercise sessions across more than 10 rural areas and villages.
